Arrests made after burning SUV slams into Glasgow Airport

Two men have been led away in handcuffs after a speeding Jeep Cherokee spewing flames slammed at full speed into the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport this morning. All flights have been suspended and the airport has been evucated.

Two men have been led away in handcuffs after a speeding Jeep Cherokee spewing flames slammed at full speed into the main terminal building at Glasgow Airport this morning.

All flights have been suspended and the airport has been evucated.

Sky News TV is reporting that security barriers stopped the vehicle car and a man who fled from it was tackled by police.

TV coverage from the scene shows large smoke plumes and flames coming from the terminal.

The news comes as police in London, England search for the owners of two Mercedes automobiles found packed with gas cylinders, gasoline and nails near a nightclub in the Haymarket area.
