Police seek second male for robbery
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a second male, believed to be responsible for the armed robbery at the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy on April 18, 2013.
42-year-old Christopher Donald Mitchell (pictured) is currently wanted by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for one count of robbery with a firearm and one count of assault with a weapon.
Please do not attempt to approach this male.
Anyone having information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service immediately.

Police arrest male for Medicine Shoppe robbery
Just before 8 a.m. on the 18 of April, the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy located at 59 Great Northern Road was robbed at gunpoint.
The suspect, who was armed with what was described as a long barrelled handgun, poured gasoline on the victim and demanded entry into the pharmacy.
Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service continued the investigation through the evening.
Officers received information that lead them to 154 Albert Street East unit #3, the residence 41-year-old Shawn Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was taken into custody and charged with one count of robbery with a firearm and assault with a weapon in relation to the incident at the Medicine Shoppe.
A search warrant was executed and the accused was found to be in possession of two knives that open with centrifugal force (flick knives), 100 seroquel pills, 17 clonazepam pills, three codeine pills, and a small amount of marijuana.
Mr. Simpson is additionally charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of unauthorized possession under the Food and Drug Act.
He will be appearing in bail court today.
