Arrest made after theft of prescription drugs

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the accused attended at the Rome’s Independent Grocer’s Pharmacy, 44 Great Northern Rd. and stole prescription medication valued at $111.84.

The accused was arrested by store security and turned over to city police officers. Riccardo Policicchio, age 22, of 1001 Second Line W. Apt # 17 is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

Mr. Policicchio is to appear in court on Jan. 30th 2012 at 9:00 am.
