There was plenty of hugging today as Lauren Doxtater, president of Shingwauk Anishinaabe Students' Association and Vanessa Gastaldo, president of Algoma University Students’ Union, signed a commitment to the self-determination of the Anishinaabe students on campus.
The agreement also recognizes the importance of Anishinaabe students, history and culture at Algoma University.
