Ontario Provincial Police say a recent argument has led to an assault charge for a Sault Ste. Marie resident.

Officers were called to the Mission Road in Goulais River just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

“The accused and the victim were engaged in a verbal argument over damage to the victim's property,” said OPP in a news release.

“Subsequently, this led to the property owner being physically assaulted.”

Robert Holland, 64, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on April 8 to face the assault charge.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
