************************* Local male charged with several sexual offences
ELLIOT LAKE - The East Algoma OPP have charged a local man with several counts of sexual offences involving children.
Stephen Robert Lynn (47) of Elliot Lake has been charged under the Criminal Code with the following:
- sexual assault, Section 271 (x7)
- indecent acts, Section 173(1)(a) (x4)
- indecent acts child under 14, Section 173(2) (x2)
- breach prohibition order, Section 161(4) (attending swimming pools) (x4)
Lynn is presently in police custody in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario and has waived his bail hearing.
Next court appearance is 22nd September 2009.
The investigation is continuing.
