APH reporting one new case of COVID-19 in North Algoma

Currently 10 active cases, two hospitalizations in the Algoma region

Algoma Public Health is reporting a new case of COVID-19 in north Algoma.

Case #478, tested on Oct. 8, falls under the "unknown exposure" category. The status of the individual is under investigation. 

There are currently 10 active cases in Algoma, plus one who is an non-Algoma resident who's residing in the region, and two hospitalizations. 

Regions in Algoma that have reported COVID-19 cases in the past two weeks include:

  • North Algoma
  • Elliot Lake and area
  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
