Another succulent serving of Hurleyville hog

Faithful reader Eric Shewan was reading our piece yesterday about the new book about the Hurleyville Taxi and sent us this sweet picture of his late wife, Loreen and their daughter Laurie.

Faithful reader Eric Shewan was reading our piece yesterday about the new book about the Hurleyville Taxi and sent us this sweet picture of his late wife, Loreen and their daughter Laurie.

Known to readers of our editorial forums as "The Sheriff," Shewan served with Bruce Mines and Thessalon OPP from 1962 to 1984.

He's now retired and living in a place called Mountain, just south of Ottawa.

"The picture was taken by me in 1963 at Echo Bay, during my time on the OPP in Bruce Mines," Shewan tells us.
