************************* Stunt driver charged Highway 17
WAWA, ON - On November 7 at approximately 4 p.m., Superior East OPP in Wawa observed a northbound vehicle proceeding at a high rate of speed on Highway 17 North, Dambrossio Township, near the junction of Highway 519.
The vehicle’s speed was locked in on radar at 155 kph in a posted 90 kph zone.
The vehicle was stopped and Imad Al-Hassamia, age 26 of Scarborough, Ontario was subsequently charged with stunt driving contrary to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
His drivers licence and 2010 Nissan Versa were seized for seven days.
He will appear in Wawa traffic court at a later date to answer to the charge.
