As hap ki do Grandmaster Hee Kwan Lee tours Sault Ste. Marie this weekend to check out our capability to host the 2011 Canadian International Hap Ki Do Championships, there's word that another global martial arts figure will visit the Sault next weekend.

The Royal Taekwondo Academy advises that Grand Master Son Myung Soo (9th degree) will be in town to conduct a private black belt test and a public self-defence seminar afterwards.

Grand Master Son, who was last here two years ago, will be at Algoma University's George Leach Center from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 with Dr. Karl Jirgens (8th degree), a former Algoma University English professor now teaching at the University of Windsor.

Admission for spectators is by change donation for the public, $10 for youth participants (under 12 years) $25 for teen and adult participants.

All styles welcome.
