Charlevoix ice breaking operations

U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Neah Bay will be conducting ice breaking operations in Round Lake and Lake Charlevoix commencing 1300 local, Friday, 19 April 2013.

Ice breaking operations will go through Round Lake directly to and from Ironton, MI.

All ice fishermen should remove their ice shacks and equipment from these areas.

Snowmobile, All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operators, and other recreational users of the ice should avoid shipping channels, plan their activity carefully, and use caution near the ice.
