ALGOMA PUBLIC HEALTH

************************* Public assistance required Algoma Public Health is looking into another dog-biting incident and requires the public’s assistance.

On May 30, a Sault Ste. Marie resident went to pet a stray dog and was bitten.

The incident took place near the corner of Wellington and Gore Street.

The dog is described as a black and white spaniel.

Public health inspectors need to see the dog to make sure it is healthy.

If you observed this incident or know more information concerning this matter, please contact Algoma Public Heath at 705-541-7347.

Algoma Public Health would like to remind everyone to make sure your pet is vaccinated against rabies each year and keep your pet safe and in control at all times.

Please stay away from stray animals and ask permission before petting someone else’s dog.

Do not tease animals and be sure to notify your local public health inspector if you are bitten or scratched by an animal.
