ALGOMA DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

************************* Isabel Fletcher Public School open The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) advises all parents, staff and students that classes will resume as usual at Isabel Fletcher Public School on Tuesday, October 12.

Last week, dust and dirt particles filtered into the school and the building was vacated while the issue was dealt with.

Air quality issues have been resolved over the weekend and the school will be open to students and staff on Tuesday.

Cleaning crews from the ADSB plant department have been on site at the school last week and over the weekend.

Director Mario Turco and school Principal Laurie Forbes toured through the school on Monday October 11.

Director Turco confirmed that an outside company tested the air quality of the building on Friday October 8 and it was good.

As an additional precautionary measure, the air quality will be tested again on Tuesday and later in the week.

Director Turco: “The safety of all is our first priority and we thank parents, staff and students for your patience at this time. I want to assure everyone involved that the school is clean, safe and ready to welcome back students and staff.”

Principal Laurie Forbes also thanked all those who helped get the school up and ready for classes on Tuesday.
