************************* Temporary walk-in clinic closure

March 6, 2008 - Sault Area Hospital’s (SAH) walk-in clinic will be closed tomorrow, Friday, March 7, 2008 because of a lack of physician coverage.

Patients requiring medical care will be seen in SAH’s emergency department.

Although SAH’s emergency department is open, there will be longer-than-normal waits for patients with non-urgent needs.

Patients are always seen in order of need, with the most urgent cases being given priority.

Patients are encouraged to plan ahead for their non-urgent health-care needs.

Area residents can also call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 for free access to a registered nurse who can assess symptoms and help residents to decide next steps.
