SAULT STE. MARIE CITY POLICE SERVICE

On the 14th of June at 9:55 p.m. City Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver northbound on Great Northern Road.
Officers located the vehicle and noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation 73 year old Tuomo Vuorela of North Street was arrested and charged with Refusing to Provide a Breath Sample.
He will appear in court on July 14, 2014.
On the 15th of June at 12:10 a.m. City Police were conducting a RIDE Program.
Officers checked a vehicle and noted that the driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
As a result of the investigation 62-year-old Edward Schill of Wellington Street East was arrested and charged with Impaired operation and over .80.
He will appear in court on July 21, 2014.
