Detroit Tigers lost 6-5 to Minnesota Twins in a 12-inning heartbreaker tonight that gives Minnesota the American League Central title and a trip to the playoffs.

The game-winner was a one-out single by Alexi Casilla in the bottom of the 12th, scoring Carlos Gomez from second base.

The Tigers are the only team in the history of baseball to blow a three-game lead with four games remaining.

It was the last game the Tigers will ever play in the Metrodome.

The Twins will play one more game - against the Yankess - there this weekend.

Next year, the Twins will move to a new outdoor park.
