Alzheimer Society takes top spot in Build Frosty contest

The local Alzheimer Society recently won first prize in the Build Frosty contest, which included entries from across the country.

Following is a full release from the Sault Ste. Marie Alzheimer Society:

The Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District is pleased to announce that they have won the first prize of $5,000 in the Shaw Spotlight #BuildFrosty contest which closed at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on Monday.

Thank you to everyone that voted and shared our Forget Me Not Frosty picture.

Funds will support local programs and services such as support and counselling, education, recreation therapy, the Minds in Motion program, as well as the Adult Day Program

Thank you to Shaw Spotlight for nominating the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District for this years Build Frosty contest and for giving us the opportunity to win funds for our services and for helping us raise Alzheimer Awareness.

There were 23 charities across Canada that were nominated by their local Shaw Communications offices to get the most likes, hearts and re-tweets on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter on their frosty creations.
