Algoma Public Health reports 29 new cases of COVID-19 and one death

There are currently 378 active cases and nine hospitalizations in the APH region

Algoma Public Health has reported 29 new cases of COVID-19 today.

They have also reported the region's 16th COVID-19 related death.

Out of respect for the family, no further information has been released.

Of the 29 new cases, 17 got the virus from close contact with a known case, three have an unknown source of infection and nine are under investigation.

There are currently 378 active cases and nine hospitalizations in the APH region.

These cases bring the total number of confirmed cases to 1150 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Regions that have reported cases in the past 14 days include:

  • Sault Ste. Marie and area
  • Central and East Algoma
