The forest fire hazard in the East Fire Region is starting to decrease along the western side as rain moves into the region.

However the hazard on the east side of the region to the north of the French River continues to be high while low to moderate in southern Ontario.

Always make sure you follow safe burning guidelines as set out under the Forest Fires Prevention Act and if you live within a municipality, please contact your local municipal office or fire department before burning.
