50-year-old Albert Harman of Allan Street was arrested for one count of theft under $5000.
It is alleged that on January 20 the accused was in Canadian Tire on Great Northern Road and, while there, he selected items totaling approximately $140 and placed them in a back pack.
He is then alleged to have left the store without paying for any of the items.
He will be appearing in court on February 24.
