March 4 update:

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services say there are no injuries to report in last night's west-end fire.

The residential garage fire in the 200 block of Wallace Terrace closed the street between Maretta and Franklin shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday.

In a press release issued today, Fire Services says the fire in the detached garage was contained and the fire was extinguished without injury.

The incident remains under investigation.

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services and Police Services are on the scene of a fire in the 200 block of Wallace Terrace in the west end of the city.

The street is currently closed between Maretta and Franklin Streets.
