NEWS RELEASE
ALGOMA FARMERS' MARKET
*************************** Megan Brescacin wants you to love your roots
Introducing the marketing coordinator for the Algoma Farmers’ Market
The Algoma Farmers’ Market would like to introduce Megan Brescacin as the “freshest” face to their team.
Having recently graduated with her honours in business administration from the University of Windsor, Megan will be spending the summer cooking up fresh ideas as the Algoma Farmers’ Market communications and marketing coordinator.
Some of the things she will be working on include making updates to the current website (http://algomafarmersmarket.ca), and promoting the market to increase attendance.
Keep an eye out for her “Love Your Roots” ad campaign coming soon.
Megan encourages people to achieve the benefits of eating local, including supporting local farmers, connecting with your community, and nourishing your family with the best ingredients the area has to offer.
This year at the farmers’ market, Saultites can expect a fruitful variety of the area’s most wholesome products: fresh produce, maple syrup, honey, herbs, homemade baking, jellies and preserves, handmade crafts and much more.
Visit Megan and the vendors every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Algoma Farmers’ Market, located at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion.
Hours will be increased to include Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. come July.
