The following blowing snow warning update has been issued by Environment Canada for Blind River - Thessalon - Manitoulin Island - Espanola - Killarney.
Similar warnings are in effect for points east.
A winter weather advisory issued by the U.S. National Weather Service for the Michigan Soo and other parts of the Eastern Upper Peninsula has been cancelled as of noon today.
Environment Canada has also wind chill warnings for minus 40 to minus 45 wind chills in Hearst - Kapuskasing - Smooth Rock Falls and other points to the north and northeast.

Blowing snow with poor visibilities continuing into tonight.
Blowing snow - A low pressure system currently located east of Georgian Bay will track east towards the Ottawa River. Strong easterly winds whipping up the falling snow is creating very poor visibilities. Conditions are expected to improve overnight.
Wind chill - Very cold air has settled over the regions with temperatures dropping to near minus 30 tonight. As winds increase to 15 km/h wind chill values will reach minus 40 to minus 45.
