On the 7th of April, 2014, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, the Crime Suppression Unit, Emergency Services Unit, Patrol Services and the OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a house on Second Line West.

Officers located 17.4 grams of methamphetamine, 22 grams of cocaine, 1.3 grams of psilocybin mushroom, a set of brass knuckles, pepper spray and packing material for the distribution of the drugs.

Officer also located a shotgun stock.

The estimated street value of the narcotics is $3,950.

The homeowner was not in his residence at the time.

On the 14th of April, shortly after 3 a.m., 34-year-old Gregory Lawrence Smith of Second Line West turned himself into city police.

He has been charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He will appear in bail court this morning.
