************************* 2:40 p.m. update

OPP advise that Highway 17 north of Old Woman Bay has reopened as of 2:30 p.m.

************************* Original advisory - 11:14 a.m.

The Ontario Provincial Police advise the public of the following road closure.

Location: Hwy 17 just north of Old Woman Bay – signs at Batchawana (Hwy 17 & 563) and Wawa (Hwy 17)

Detachment area: Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa

Time of road closure: 11:05 a.m.

Reason for the closure: several tractor trailers jack-knifed or stuck on highway

Detour: none

Estimated duration of closure: approx 2-3 hrs.

Time road reopened: (will advise )
