Environment Canada has issued the following snow squall warning for Searchmont - Montreal River Harbour - Batchawana Bay - Agawa - Lake Superior Park.

Snow squalls gradually weakening overnight.

Snow squalls are continuing to the east of Lake Superior as westerly winds blow onshore.

The heaviest bands are affecting Lake Superior Park to Batchawana Bay along portions of Highway 17.

The snow squalls will persist for several more hours then weaken overnight.

Local snowfall amounts of 15 centimetres are possible under the heaviest snow squalls before they weaken overnight.

Caution is advised for those travelling along Highway 17 from Batchawana Bay to Lake Superior Park.
