OPP report that Highway 17 is completely re-opened to traffic as of 10 p.m.

************************* 7:55 p.m. update

Highway 17 has re-opened to one lane with alternating traffic.

Police request that motorists remain patient until the traffic congestion has been cleared.

Unknown what time both lanes will re-open.

The Ontario Provincial Police advise the public of the following road closure.

Location: Highway 17, 11 kilometres west of Nairn Centre.

Detachment area: Sudbury OPP

Time of road closure: 6:30 p.m.

Reason for the closure: MVC blocking the road.

Detour: (if available) none.

Estimated duration of closure: Unknown

Time road reopened: (will advise)

POLICE ARE ADVISING MOTORISTS TO ADJUST THEIR DRIVING IN ACCORDANCE WITH WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS.
