Seasonal weather moves into slight warming, then rain, then cooling, and then back to seasonal weather, says meteorologist Jerry Shields

The overall weather pattern that brought the hot, dry weather last month continues to erode and trend towards a routine that better resembles typical weather for July in Sault Ste Marie. We can expect a carousel of seasonal weather, slight warming, rain, and then cooling and back to seasonal weather. This rotation will continue this week and likely into the weekend and next week.

We will see a mix of sun and cloud on Monday, with a few sprinkles possible here and there. Daytime highs will climb to 27°C later in the afternoon. Clouds, more widespread rain, and isolated storms arrive in the evening and continue overnight.

Skies quickly clear early Tuesday, and gusty northwest winds arrive to drop temperatures to 21°C.

Wednesday and Thursday bring a mix of sun and cloud as daytime highs reach 24°C.

A south wind arrives on Friday to push temperatures back into the upper 20s. A chance of rain and storms comes Friday night into early Saturday.
