VIDEO: Police believe murder suspect recently arrived in the Sault

Inspector Brent Duguay of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service discusses arrest of a 25-year-old charged in both the Taylor Marshall homicide and boardwalk stabbing

A Toronto man arrested last week for a brutal stabbing on the boardwalk was charged today for the murder of 22-year-old Taylor Marshall.

Sault Police allege that 25-year-old Steven Jones committed both grisly crimes last Thursday afternoon — back to back.

Police say the accused did not know either of the victims, suggesting both attacks were random acts of violence.

Inspector Brent Duguay of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service held a press conference this afternoon to talk about the arrest. A video of the news conference is above.
