Natasha Cole's class of Grade 4 and 5 at Greenwood Elementary recently held a fundraiser to help Red Cross with humanitarian efforts overseas.
More than $4,000 was raised from the sale of buttons, bookmarks and bracelets.
The merchandise could be bought directly from the school or from one of the many local businesses that assisted by selling the wares at their own stores.
Always the teacher, Mrs. Cole even found a way to turn counting the funds into a fun math lesson.
