VIDEO: A drone's eye view of our downtown plaza

Drone photography provides a perspective that can’t be obtained from street level

Work continues on Sault Ste. Marie's controversial $11.6-million downtown plaza.

Did we get good value for what we paid, or is this just a city boondoggle, as many Saultites are saying on social media?

It's very hard to get a proper grasp of the project from behind the barricades at street level, so SooToday sent our camera into the air to get a better look.

City council is expected to receive an update on the anticipated completion date of the plaza construction at its next meeting on Aug. 28.
