Soo Blaster is excited to welcome Yuk Yuk’s to our main stage with a three-act comedy show this Friday.

This June 24 lineup is special. The headliner currently guest stars in 'Letterkenny', and the MC is a Soo favourite and a festival veteran. Finally, the supporting act was just recorded for CBC's Laugh Out Loud.

Headliner Jeff McEnery

Jeff McEnery won the prestigious Tim Sims Encouragement Award in 2005, Yuk Yuk's Great Canadian Laugh Off in 2006, and was named Best Stand-Up Newcomer at the 2007 Canadian Comedy Awards. Since then, McEnery has gone on to become a headliner for Yuk Yuk’s and has made multiple appearances at every major Canadian comedy festival, including the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Halifax Comedy Festival. McEnery’s Comedy Now! stand-up special was broadcast on CTV in 2011. In 2015, he was nominated for Best Male Stand-Up at the Canadian Comedy Awards and released his first solo comedy CD, Sunset Acres.

As an actor, McEnery had a lead role in the critically acclaimed drama 'Dog Pound'. He was also a cast member on the Comedy Network’s sketch series 'Hotbox' and has made guest appearances on 'Letterkenny', 'Covert Affairs', 'The Jon Dore Television Show' and 'Naturally Sadie'. McEnery’s short film 'Behind the Funny' has aired nationally on The Comedy Network, and he is currently a writer for the CBC's hit show Still Standing.

MC Dom Paré

Described as "one of the best new stand-ups around" by NOW Magazine, Dom Paré blends magnetic onstage charisma, hilarious observation, and clever writing to deliver memorable side-splitting comedy.

Originally from Ottawa, Paré has taken the Canadian comedy scene by storm. With his quick wit and unconventional charm, he delights audiences and collects fans whenever he performs.

Paré’s memorable approach has landed him in the finals of both the Just For Laughs Homegrown Competition and the SiriusXM Canada’s Next Top Comic competition. Recently, Paré reached the SemiFinals of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and Runner Up for Toronto's Best Male Stand-Up.

Paré has also branched out into the comedy world and written for The Debaters, is featured regularly on SiriusXM Radio, and has been a panellist on the George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight show.

Supporting Act Andrew Barr

Andrew Barr is an old man trapped in a tiny young man's body. A unique combination of grumpy and silly, he has delighted audiences nationwide.

Never one to shy away from a topic, Bar has a knack for breaking down divisive issues in a way that makes a whole room laugh.

These skills have earned him featured performances on CBC's Laugh Out Loud, SiriusXM, the Icebreakers Comedy Festival, the YYC Comedy Festival, Montreal Sketchfest, and iChannel's No Kidding.

His debut EP, 'Rent Money', produced by Comedy Records, was released in 2018.
