Brown welcomes Trillium funding for Bruce Mines, Rydal Bank community groups

$28,400 for Copper Community Theatre Group, Rydal Bank Historical Society

Algoma-Manitoulin - Mike Brown, MPP for Algoma-Manitoulin, is applauding the news that $28,400 in funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation will be invested in projects in Bruce Mines and Rydal Bank.

The Copper Community Theatre Group will receive $15,000 for the purchase of sound and lighting equipment to help establish the new theatre troupe.

The Rydal Bank Historical Society will receive $13,400 for renovations to the Rydal Bank Church, which will include the construction of a ramp to improve accessibility, and the restoration of the stained glass windows in the heritage structure.

“I was pleased to learn of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s decision to invest in these worthwhile projects,” said Brown. “This investment will be a big boost to the efforts of all of the volunteers who work so hard to make Bruce Mines and Rydal Bank great places to live.”
