NORTHERN ONTARIO COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS

A new award was handed out during the Northern Ontario Country Music Awards weekend. 

The sad passing of Mike Case inspired the bandmates of Mike’s “White Stallion” band, the NOCMA and Case’s Music to sponsor an annual award in his memory.

This award, given from musician to musician was presented during the NOCMA awards show to a student who is 14 or younger and must possess the following: 

Good character, desires to learn, one who practices between lessons, ambitious, shows continuous progress, enthusiastic and energetic.

Presented by White Stallion band members the first recipient of the Mike Case Memorial award is 9-year-old musician Miguel Bedard. 

The award grants Miguel to a years’ worth of music lessons on behalf of White Stallion, NOCMA and Case’s Music.  Miguel is presently learning the piano.
