NEWS RELEASE

SAULT YOUTH THEATRE

*************************
One of this year’s dynamic KCTC Summer Camp guest instructors, Adam Paolozza, has been nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore awards in Toronto, along with his co-creators, Dean Gilmour, Michele Smith and Ravi Jain for their original show SPENT, a hysterical new take on the financial crisis.

The Dora awards provide an annual celebration of theatre, opera and dance, and is considered Canada's equivalent of the Tony awards in American theatre circles.

In the Independent Theatre Production Division, SPENT, which brings together two generations of Canada's most innovative independent theatre creators, received nominations for Outstanding New Play, Outstanding Production and Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role/Ensemble.

No stranger to the Sault and the KCTC camp, Adam Paolozza will join a team of additional guest and local professional instructors and acting coaches at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre which is hosting three different summer drama camps in both musical and non-musical theatre/acting for youth ages 10-15.

The KCTC will also host a half day camp for students as young as seven in mask-making and music.

For information about the unique, professionally taught summer camps for youth at the KCTC in July, please make contact by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at (705) 941-9509.
