And beginning Monday, February 4, her vocal prowess will be put to the test as she steps into the role of Kim in the White Pines OnStage production of Miss Saigon.

Although Clement is enjoying her involvement as the female lead in the modern adaptation of Puccini's Madame Butterfly, she finds the role extremely challenging.

"Finding the emotional hook to my character is very difficult," she said.

This is only her second theatre production.

Directed by Susan Barber, the tragic account of a doomed romance between an American G.I. and a Vietnamese bar girl will be staged at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre from February 4 through February 9.
