Virtual Soo Sings show to feature a look back

The 2021 show will feature past Soo Sings for Kids teams and their favourite performances

The annual Soo Sings for Kids is set to go virtual with a special show.

The 2021 show, which is set for May 26, will feature some of the best performances from past Soo Sings for Kids shows.

The event will be hosted by Tim Murphy and streamed on SooToday.

This year, Soo Sings for Kids will feature 11 teams that have selected their favourite performances from previous shows.

In addition to video of the past performances, the event will feature a poll to select this year's winner.

The poll will run until May 31 with the winner being announced on June 1 in addition to the charities that will receive support from the event.

"As in past years, the generosity of our community will allow us to donate as much as $10,000 to local children’s charities," a release announcing the 2021 Soo Sings show said. "Nearly 100 of you decided to forego ticket refunds, which is a major reason we are still able to support many local children’s charities. Like many of us, the charitable organizations have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are thrilled we’re able to support them during this difficult time."
