VIDEO: Michaela, Bethany and Daniella have got talent!

Huron-Superior board students performed in The Soo’s Got Talent; sang for trustees, administrators

Three talented young Saultites wowed Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (H-SCDSB) trustees and administrators at the board’s Dec. 12 meeting.

Michaela Skagen, a St. Francis School Grade 3 student, and Bethany Pelletier, a Holy Family School Grade 6 student, each performed a song, while Daniella Brewer, a St. Mary’s College Grade 12 student, sang a song and played keyboards.

The three students were finalists from The Soo’s Got Talent shows, held at The Tech.

The Soo’s Got Talent, organized by Mario Naccarato and Barbara Rajnovich, was a fall fundraiser for The Canadian Cancer Society.

Prizes for winning performers included a $450 cash prize, gift cards and restaurant certificates, donated by local businesses.

Organizers say they plan to make the event an annual one, with proceeds going to a different charity each year.
