There's a new choir in town, just in time for the holidays

There's a new choir in town and it wants to help you ring in the holiday season with a performance at The Loft in the Algoma Conservatory of Music on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

"Cantation is a celebration of female voices in our city," says a news release. "We are about enjoying treble choral music in all genres, pursuing musical excellence and having fun!"

Cantation Women's Choir members include Elizabeth Alloi, Brenda Butler McTaggart, Alixandra Colak, Sandi Dal Cin, Barbara Gallagher, Patty Gartshore, Leith Harris, Jill McPhee, Jaime Miller, Michele Punch, Sandra Scornaienchi, and Calyssa Skeggs.

Tickets for the Dec. 13 performance are available online now for $20 for adults, or $10 for children aged 10 and younger.

The evening of holiday music includes cookies and hot chocolate as well as a cash bar.
