Think you can shake it like Elvis? Tickle the ivories like Jerry Lee? Carry a tune like the Man in Black?

If so, the West End Theatre Project is looking for you.

Million Dollar Quartet is the first production of the 2023 season and the show requires performers with "strong acting, singing and musical ability," according to a news release. Talent, the company says, is the main casting component, but strong dedication to the roles is of importance since time commitment is high.

The production needs seven males and one female. Roles needed to be filled are Elvis Presley (guitar, baritone or tenor, early 20s, should look and sound like Elvis without being an “impersonator”); Jerry Lee Lewis (piano, tenor, early 20s, should be able to play piano like Jerry Lee Lewis, comic relief a plus); Carl Perkins (lead guitar, tenor, mid 20s, must be an excellent lead guitarist and play the electric guitar); Johnny Cash (guitar, bass or baritone, tall, mid 20s, must be familiar with his music and be able to play guitar); Sam Phillips (bass or baritone, mid 30s, must have strong stage presence and be able to command an audience); Dyanne (must have great vocal range, mid 20s); Brother Jay (bass guitar, mid 20s); and Fluke (drummer, mid 20s).

No parts are paid.

Rehearsals will take place at SK Group on Queen Street and run Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with a fourth date to be added if necessary. All applicants must complete the prior commitments section of the application before auditioning. Visit the website for more details and to register for an audition.
