The Trews, Bleeker to headline this year's Go North Music Fest

This summer's event from July 25 to 27 will coincide with Richards Landing Community Night

A popular music festival on St. Joseph Island now entering its sixth year has announced its lineup of performers for this summer, with several crowd-pleasing acts.

The Go North Music Festival July 25 to 27 will also coincide with the ever-popular Richards Landing Community Night on July 26, meaning three evenings of music and fun, culminating with the Go North performers taking the stage on Saturday afternoon (with camping available for Friday and Saturday nights in the festival campground).

You can find out all the details in the following music festival news release:

ST. JOSEPH ISLAND – St. Joseph Island’s Go North Music Festival has announced its official line-up for its sixth annual festival set for July 25-27, 2024.

This year will feature an incredible group of Canadian talent led by this year's Saturday night headliners, six-time Juno nominees and Canadian favourites THE TREWS!

Joining them on Saturday will be the high energy rock group BLEEKER, genre bending crowd pleasers Daniel Romano’s Outfit, blues powerhouse Terra Lightfoot, local favourites Handsome Sandwich and the Hollow Heads, with the party getting started with CASS FM.

This year the festival is adding a Thursday event with an intimate concert at the Old Town Hall by Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter and 2024 Juno nominee and Canadian folk favourite David Francey with his trio.

Francey is a Scottish-born Canadian carpenter-turned-songwriter, who has become known as “one of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star). This show has limited seating and will sell out fast!

Entering year six, we’ve adjusted our dates to the end of July. This year Go North coincides with the Richards Landing Community night, holding three nights of Music!

Thursday night, kick things off with the David Francey Trio concert at the Old Town Hall in the heart of Richards Landing.

Friday Night, the Richards Landing Community Night is held at the Centennial Grounds - Parade starts on HWY 548 at 7 p.m., followed by fresh baked pie, food vendors, kids games and games of chance – all in support of the Matthews Memorial Hospital NSHN Auxiliary to help provide equipment for the hospital. After games end (8:30 p.m.) the fun moves down to the waterfront marina for the Boat Parade of Lights, FREE live concert by L!ME, and dancing in the streets!

Saturday, the Go North Music Festival gates open at 3:30 p.m. featuring fantastic talent.

Early bird online tickets for Saturday go on sale Tuesday, March 12 at 9 a.m.! Use this promo code TREWSGONORTH to get the early bird price of $55 (first 200 tickets ONLY!). After early bird sales end, tickets are $60 for advance for Saturday, and $35 for the David Francey concert.
