The Seth Bernard Trio will play a benefit concert for the Royal Canadian Legion in Richards Landing on December 5 at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 and there will be a cash bar.

This tribute to folk music concert will feature Seth Bernard on guitar, ukulele and vocals, Mike Lynch on keyboards and accordion, and percussionist Dan Rickabus on drums and cajon.

Seth Bernard is the founder of Earthwork Music, one of the largest collections of independent bands and solo artists in the U.S.

This is the organization where Joshua Davis (finalist on NBC's The Voice) got his start.

Earthwork Music also hosts one of the largest family friendly music festivals in the Midwest, The Harvest Gathering in Lake City, Michigan.

The festival is held on Seth's family farm and this year (15th year) they hosted 105 bands from all over the world.

Seth also won best Rock/Pop Album last year at the Michigan Jammies (Michigan's Grammy awards) and he is part of the duo Seth and May (his wife).

May wrote, and they both produced and performed her song Shine On, a song that Sawyer Fredricks (winner of The Voice) sang on show last season...a song that went to number 2 on the iTunes charts.

Keyboard player Mike Lynch toured last spring with Bob Seger and has recorded with Willie Nelson and Taylor Swift, he has also toured with Kid Rock and blues legend Larry McCray.

Mike was also the featured keyboard player for Willie Nelson's 80th birthday party television special a few years ago.

The third member of the group, drummer Dan Rickabus, is one of the founding members of the Crane Wives, one of the hottest indie bands in Michigan.

Dan also tours with Seth and several other top bands in Michigan.

The music they will be performing for this benefit concert includes a mix of folk tunes from well known artists like Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and other legendary performers, plus a good dose of blues and Seth's awarding winning original songs.

Come out and support the Legion and live music on the island December 5 at 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Richards Landing.

Tickets are just $15 ($20 door) and are on sale now at Kent's Corner, Ambeault's and the Legion.
