Canadian country rising star Tim Hicks chose Sault Ste. Marie to kick off his current Get a Little Crazy tour Sunday night.

The Juno and multi CCMA award nominee delivered fan favourites Get By, Hell Raisin' Good Time, Buzz Buzz Buzzing, Young Alive and In Love, Here Comes the Thunder, So Do I, She Don't Drink Whiskey Anymore and more before returning to the stage for a three-song encore.

And the sold out Machine Shop crowd ate up every note.

The St. Catharines-born singer songwriter seemed right at home cavorting with concert goers and even paused to shoot a selfie with a young fan perched in the front row.

Supporting acts Sunday evening included Jason Benoit from Newfoundland, and Cold Creek County whose debut album Till the Wheels Come Off was released on October 16.

Hicks' Get a Little Crazy tour continues through November with stops in Thunder Bay, Calgary, Saskatoon, Vancouver and more.
