Grayling, Harbor Springs bands to perform on campus August 6

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Two high school marching bands that are attending band camp on the campus of Lake Superior State University this week will demonstrate what they've learned during performances on Friday, August 6.

Grayling High School Marching Band will perform at 10 a.m. in parking lot B just east of the Norris Center. Later, Harbor Springs High School Marching Band will perform at 11 a.m. on Cooper Field just west of the Norris Center.

Both brief performances from these award-winning high school bands are free of charge.

The students won't be in dress uniform, opting instead for more comfortable dress to fit the weather, but that won't affect their sound quality.

Both bands have around 60 members.

Grayling has been holding its summer band camp at LSSU for seven years and Harbor Springs has had camp at LSSU for six years.
