Come celebrate more than a millennium of Christmases with the Steeltown Silver Band

November 19, 2011, beginning at 7 p.m. at Willowgrove United Church

For the third year, the Steeltown Silver Band will entertain the Sault with its remarkable sound to celebrate the Christmas season with more than 1,000 years’ musical passion and experience among 27 exceptionally talented members.

This year’s Christmas concert takes place on November 19, 2011, beginning at 7 p.m. at Willowgrove United Church.

This annual event has become a tradition to kick off the Christmas celebrating with songs to thrill the young and not-so-young.

Arrangements from the past with both traditional and new arrangements are sure to surprise and delight everyone.

Bandmaster, Dr. John Wilkinson, will lead the Steeltown Silver through a full concert of Christmas arrangements with special guest Stephen Mallinger.

Mr. Mallinger, organist and choirmaster of St. Luke's Cathedral and also music director of the Algoma Festival Choir, has an extensive history with Sault Ste. Marie’s arts community and will showcase his astounding talents throughout the evening’s celebration.

Tickets $10 at the door.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
