Starship coming to Kewadin

SAULT STE. MARIE, MICH. - Oldies 93 presents Starship featuring original lead vocalist Mickey Thomas at Kewadin Casino Sault Ste. After joining Jefferson Starship in 1979, the band immediately reached No. 1 with the release of Jane. As their sound developed and with the powerful new vocals of Mickey Thomas, the group changed their name to Starship and consistently produced hit songs like We Built This City, Sara, and Nothing’s Gonna Stop us Now, which garnered an Oscar nomination. Every Starship album released since 1979 has gone gold, platinum, or multi-platinum.

“Mickey Thomas and the band Starship continue to perform to sold-out audiences,” said Dan Doyle, Kewadin Casinos representative. “We’re anticipating this group and their famous songs will draw a large crowd this summer.”

Starship is only one of the many entertainment acts Kewadin Casinos is bringing to the Upper Peninsula. In recent months, Kewadin Casino Sault Ste. Marie and Kewadin Casino St. Ignace have been the sites of performances by Howie Mandel, Jeff Carson, and Bret Michaels.

Additionally, upcoming performances at Kewadin Casinos include Air Supply on June 4, and April Wine and Lita Ford on June 24.
