As a special treat for those attending tonight's Bon Soo Treble Charger concert at The Machine Shop, Algoma University's Edward Turgeon will join the band on stage for a few numbers.

As a special treat for those attending tonight's Bon Soo Treble Charger concert at The Machine Shop, Algoma University's Edward Turgeon will join the band on stage for a few numbers.

The award-winning and internationally known pianist will inject a bit of classical into what is sure be a stellar rock show that also features opening sets from locals The Pixo Control and Frank Deresti and the Lake Effect.

SooToday has also learned that tickets for tonight's concert will be half price for students with a valid student card, including those from Algoma University, Sault College and all area high schools.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available now at The Machine Shop.

Bon Soo officially kicks off today at 4 p.m. at the Mill Market with bum slides, hot chocolate and cotton candy, the SnoMadness tug of war, and live entertainment on the Marquee stage.

The annual fireworks display will begin at 7 p.m.
