RICHARDS LANDING – Skye Wallace and her band will be playing at the Old Town Hall in Richards Landing on Wednesday Oct. 16. Wallace will be back on St. Joseph Island just three months after being one of the highlights of last July’s Go North Music Festival.

She and her band have just finished touring Germany and Italy and are heading west, where she will meet up with Matt Mays and embark on a Cross Canada Tour of 18 cities during October and November.

Wallace’s fourth album embodies Canadiana and was named by The Globe and Mail as one of “the four best Canadian albums in the world right now” in July 2019.

From living on BC’s west coast, to spending time at residencies from Norris Point, Nfld. to Dawson City, Yukon, Skye Wallace has been inspired by every corner of the country. However, it’s not just geography that informs her sound – her lyrics are often based on Canadian history, sharing the struggles and stories of the past.

The Revue said, “women are making the best rock music on the planet. The list is lengthy and adding to it is Canadian rocker, Skye Wallace.”

Those who caught her set at the 2019 Go North Music Festival certainly agreed with that sentiment and won’t want to miss her stop as part of the Just Passing Through Concert Series at Richards Landing’s beautiful 120 year old Town Hall.

Seating is limited so people are encouraged to purchase tickets for this show in advance. Tickets are available the St. Joseph Township office at 1669 Arthur Street in Richards Landing, or Moose Sweats in downtown Richards Landing. Advance tickets are $15, or (if available) at the door for $20.

For further information, or to arrange for advance ticket delivery to Sault Ste. Marie, call 705-246-2625 ext. 201 or contact organizers through the Township of St. Joseph Events and Activities Facebook page.
