Sharon, Lois & Bram singalong dazzles at Korah (8 photos)

Original member Sharon Hampson and her daughter Randi came together to sing all the familiar favourites from one of Canada’s most iconic children’s music groups

Skinnamarinky dinky dink, Skinnamarinky do!

The nostalgic and joyous sounds of Sharon, Lois & Bram filled the auditorium at Korah Collegiate today as dozens of families gathered for a singalong.

As part of Algoma Fall Festival’s 50th anniversary, Sharon, Lois & Bram original member Sharon Hampson, along with her daughter Randi and other family members, came together on stage to share the classics from one of Canada’s most iconic children’s music groups.

Performing all their favourites like “ABCD Jig,” “Hey Dum Diddeley Dum,” “She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain,” and, of course, “Skinnamarink,” the group had audience members dancing, singing, and clapping along.

The mother-daughter duo had the chance to do several workshops with kids at a pair of schools yesterday, and they’re thrilled with the reception they’ve received in the Sault.

“It’s great fun, it’s really exciting for me,” Hampson says. “When Bram decided he wanted to stop touring, Randi thought we should carry on the music of Sharon, Lois & Bram. It was a natural evolution with Randi, it’s pretty thrilling.”

“We evolved during the two years of COVID,” Randi adds. “It has expanded into a family band. Once we were able to start performing in front of audiences again, that transition has been so enjoyable and rewarding to feed off the fuel of the audience in-person.”
