As registration for the KCTC Summer Theatre Camp 2015 continues, for both "Swords and Stage" and "Acting for Musical Theatre", we are seeking volunteers to assist with camp and we are pleased to announce that we are also hiring!

Across six weeks, you will have an opportunity for employment as a teaching assistant/artistic producer, assisting with the implementation of dynamic educational programs for youth with The Sault Youth Theatre in collaboration with the Kiwanis Community Theatre Summer Theatre Camp 2015.

During this full-time position you will collaborate with lead instructors/performance coaches to implement our Summer Theatre Camp.

Pay: $11.50/hour.

You will supervise and assist the young actors (ages approx. 7-15) during classes and outdoor activities as well as assist with directing scene studies. 

Other responsibilities  include developing and assisting with promotional activities and with the general coordination of the students' showcase performance.

A great opportunity if you enjoy working with youth in an educational setting. 

Theatre experience including performance (acting, music, dance) and production or technical skills are assets. 

Interest in promoting events and/or interacting with the public are also assets.

We welcome your creative input regarding how to make our programs more accessible and visible in the community.

But mostly we welcome your willingness to take ownership, learn and take on a challenge!

Candidates must currently be enrolled in a post secondary institution, have been a full-time student in the semester preceding the placement and intend to return to full-time studies following the summer placement.
